About Us

“Casa Muzyka” holds a rich history rooted in the legacy of the late Richard Pilarski, who constructed the initial homestead in 1983 through the earnings from his dedicated musical pursuit, performing late nights and weekends at various venues across ontario. The serene Dam Lake became his oasis, providing inspiration for the name.

Music played a pivotal role in Richard's life; he was a multi-instrumentalist, self taught in guitar, accordion, piano and drums. The dedication to his musical passion is evident in the cottage, with the designated “musical corner “equipped with his vintage Ludwig drum kit. In homage to their father’s musical legacy and the cherished memories created at Dam Lake, Richard’s children aptly named the cottage “CASA MUZYKA”, a heartfelt tribute to the man who built both a home and a harmonious haven by the water.
